The Story Behind Pawira
Most cat owners don't find out their cat has a kidney problem until it's already serious.
That's not a dramatic statement — it's just biology. Cats evolved to hide discomfort, and chronic dehydration doesn't show obvious symptoms until organ function is already compromised. By the time a vet visit reveals elevated creatinine levels, the damage has been building for months or years.
We built Pawira because we couldn't find a water fountain we actually trusted. Not trusted in the sense of looks premium. Trusted in the sense of: does it actually keep water clean between cleanings? Does the pump last? Is it genuinely quiet at 2am?
After testing a handful of well-reviewed options and being underwhelmed by all of them, we decided to build one ourselves — to a spec we'd stake our own cats' health on.
That became the Pawira stainless steel water fountain. UV sterilization, triple-layer activated carbon filtration, 316 surgical-grade steel throughout, and a pump quiet enough that even skittish cats don't avoid it.
